Bnei Brak
Solo Carne - 16 Jabotinsky, Bnei Brak 073-3962594

Solo Carne is a high-end meat restaurant with the highest level kashrut. Two restaurants in one, the fast food and the flagship up-market restaurant both employ an all-Haredi staff.

The legendary Chef Yisrael transforms everyday ingredients into elegant dishes. Dine slowly and savor the food, says Chef Dudek. Dinner is structured as a tasting feast with a series of shared dishes served sequentially. A 7-course dinner for two will set you back NIS 500, a 4-course dinner for two, NIS 350. Wine and dessert are extra.

The great finale of the meal is a cleverly presented 3-piece meat dish of roast beef, corned beef and Turkish pastrami served on an artist’s palette, with dabs of colorful barbeque and beet ketchup sauces in place of the paints. The culinary artist was definitely at work.

Reservations are recommended.
Minato - 8 Hamenofim, Herzelia 09-7731703
Minato specializes in authentic Japanese dishes. The restaurant is adamant about utilizing authentic ingredients, and cooking techniques used in Japan. A Japanese chef presides over the kitchen. He creates traditional Japanese cuisine that complies with the laws of kashrut and uses local seasonal ingredients.

Wanting to taste a variety of dishes, we decided to share one inside-out Sushi roll with cooked fish and two delicious fish main dishes. The sushi was beautifully presented on a platter with thin slivers of ginger. We then shared a platter of tempura fish served with the delicious Japanese Tentsuyu dipping sauce with Mirin, sweet rice wine. The fish was delicious alone and required no sauce, but the sauce added the zing.
