Elima Restaurant is located on Shlomo Hamelech, directly across the street from the Mamilla Hotel . As they say location, location, location.
This cozy restaurant has two main areas: A bar at the entrance and seating in the restaurant gallery. The atmospheres is quiet and reserved, with relaxing Italian provincial decor and soft background music. This, and the restaurant's individual service makes for a fine and pleasant dining experience.
The restaurant offers fine food and wines from a selection of the best Israeli wineries.
The menu is dairy mehadrin Italian, and it is loaded with a bevy of the greatest hits from Italy with Elimas special Mediterranean twist.
The starters feature dishes like Eggplant Parmesan, and Red Tuna Seviche cured with olive oil and lemon, and served with cucumbers and red onion. They also have a full menu of different bruschettas like the Elima with olive oil, garlic, and spreads. We also love the Dried Tomato Bruschetta with mozzarella cheese, garlic and oregano.
But dont fill up on the starters. There are many more delights to choose from. There is a wonderful selection of fish. We love the pastas, ravioli, and some delectable specials like the Potato Gnocchi with tomato sauce, the garlic confit, and the Mushroom Vegetable Risotto with a tomato butter sauce and Parmesan cheese.
On the lighter side there is a full menu of salads and pizza.
Elima promotes wines from the boutique wineries of Yatir, Hebron and Rimon. As for nightcaps, Elima has a full bar.
