Hatzok (The Cliff) Chef Restaurant
October 2015
Hatzok "The Cliff" is a kosher chef restaurant at Rosh Hanikra, Israel's northern most location on the Mediterranean coast. Aptly named, Hatzok restaurant is in a tourist center on the cliffs. This has got to be the best location for a restaurant in Israel, facing the cable car, with a spectacular view and a pleasant modern interior.
But the view is just the beginning of the story. The chef at this restaurant is none other than Maor
Malca. Maor has a rich background in fine and successful restaurants. Among them is the eLuna favorite Arnolds Restaurant at Netiv Hashayara near Nahariya. From Arnold's Maor went on to opened Ben Ami Chef Restaurant, also in the Naharia area, Maor has now teamed up with Eric Daniyar, a colleague from Arnolds, to open Hatzok.
Hatzok Restaurant offers a fine Mediterranean-style menu featuring a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, Maor and Eric use only the freshest ingredients to create a rich variety of high level dishes. Your visit to Hatzok restaurant will be unique, adventuresome and a rewarding culinary experience.
The restaurant is available for private parties of up to 110 guests.
About The Hatzok Menu
Hatzok Restaurant offers a menu for everyone. Enjoy traditional meat dishes, Moroccan Tajine stew, fish, and even dishes for children. Lets face it - by the time you get up there, you're going to be hungry.
Start with the unique Hatzok spreads and salads served with fresh house bread. One of our favorites is the delicious eggplant cream spread, one of the restaurant's signature dishes.
Alternatively begin your meal with the Goose Liver starter. This is hard to pass up.
Main courses
range from Pargiot (chicken breast) to lamb chops. But nothing is plain or simple at Hatzok. Pargiot, for example, are marinated in honey, white wine, rosemary and garlic. How's that for a simple dish. Tornado Rosini is the restaurant's signature main dish. This dish is a tower of Portobelo mushrooms and Goose liver medallions in wine sauce. This Mediterranean restaurant also offers Moroccan beef stew with root vegetables flavored with saffron prepared in a Tajine pot. Non meat eaters can enjoy the vegetarian gnocchi dish or a fish dish. The restaurant offers two fish main courses: Salmon fillet and St Peters Fish fillet.
