If you have not yet visited the rebuilt Churva Synagogue in Jerusalem's old city you now have one more reason to go. A new restaurant, Keshet Hachurva, has just opened adjacent to the Churva Synagogue. Keshet Hachurva is a dairy French restaurant with a diverse menu. They have pastas, sandwiches, salads. pizza, and a nice selection of fish. They even have some specialty stews.
Keshet Hachurva has 40 seats inside and another 40 outside. The menu is full of dairy dishes with Israeli flair. They have soups, salads and different kinds of omelets. Try the smoked salmon omelet, or the King David salad with fresh vegetables, mozzarella cheese, and sundried tomatoes. Or try the pastas, pizzas, and bagels. There are also many delicious dessert options like cheesecake, and hot pies.
The restaurant and the entire building was designed as a community center. The restaurant hosts kiddushim and Bar Mitzvot on Shabbat.
