Pompidou Bistro and Bar

Pompidou Bistro dairy restaurant and Bar on Emek Refaim is at the center of the action in the German Colony. The restaurant features an inventive dairy menu with a good selection of drinks. The combination Italian menu in a French style setting is warm and appealing. In the evening, carefully placed candles and soft background music make for a romantic and luxurious experience.

Pompidou offers some great and unusual breakfast choices. Begin the morning with a delicious Pompidou omelette, or try the French Morning Breakfast with French bread, eggs and salmon. Who but the Italians would have Rosotto for breakfast? Pompidou offers an original Risotto breakfast made with fresh cream, cinnamon, raisins and almonds. And with a nod to the classic Israeli breakfast, Pompidou offers three styles of shakshouka: Classic, Italian and Sicilian.

For lunch or dinner, enjoy a variety of unusual and refreshing salads and sandwiches. We warmly recommend the bruschettas, the focaccias, and pizza � all baked in their traditional oven. Choose your favorite pasta- also home made - with Italian style Alfredro, Pomodoro, Ros�, and Salmon sauce. The Italian specials include lasagna, ravioli, and our favorite: a cheese platter with a variety of aged cheeses: Camembert, Roquefort, Haloumi, Goats cheese. The restaurant also offers terrific fish dishes, beautifully prepared in a variety of ways.

It is simply prohibited to skip the desserts: Pompidou�s dessert menu changes daily and is simply scrumptious. Waffle in chocolate, sweet condensed milk, halva or original Italian ice cream� have a look at the display cabinet. Mmmm. � you won�t be able to resist.

Even if you are not up to a full meal, step into pompidou for just a coffee or a drink. Coffee lovers will enjoy the Mauro Coffee, a quality Italian brand of the finest blends. Enjoy Espresso, American, Cappuccino, Macchiato, etc. or for something stronger. The bar menu will surprise you with its fine selection of wine, liqueurs, whiskey and beers at reasonable prices.

Pompidou has a number of seating areas: tables outside in the front, tables and chairs for more formal dining or comfortable armchairs for a relaxing drink, and a gorgeous garden out in the back; a green and quiet oasis for you to enjoy.

From: David Milburn, Date: January 2015. Description: Having passed this restaurant by many times, when my wife, baby and I decided to go in for an evening meal we immediately felt the warmth and grace of the atmosphere.
We experienced a very relaxing and comfortable meal ... hot cheesy mushroom pizza and tasty salad with delicious hot chocolate. Service was friendly and attentive and the food nicely presented. A memorable and spontaneous meal experience for us and happy baby throughout. Looking forwards to going back again and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends.


TripAdvisor: July 2013. When we walked by this new cafe, we decided to go in & try it, because of the really nice design of the place. Their coffee was good. We also had their chocolate mousse which was great. The waitress was nice. Overall a very cute little place.
