Sorento is a dairy restaurant in the heart of Rishon's recreational industrial park. This area is filled with restaurants, pubs, and a lively night life. Sorento and its sister restaurant Campania stand adjacent to one another.

Sorento is a family restaurant where they know your name. Owner Itzik and brother Yuval are partners in this endeavor, This is one of the few restaurants where the waitress/hostess can boast 3.5 years on the job. The staff is considered part of the family, as are the customers, who return again and again.

About the Sorento Menu

The Sorento menu offers a variety of Italian favorites, vegan dishes, pizza, and fish dishes. You might want to start your meal with the Canaloni filled with 4 cheeses and nuts served on a roze sauce. Or the crunchy cheese balls on a roze sauce. We always love the mushrooms at Italian restaurants and the "Pinuk Sorento" with mushrooms sounds perfect.

I often wonder why people order salads at restaurants. After all, who doesn't know how to make a salad at home?
Here is the the thing....it is not the vegetables, it is the dressing that is so special at Italian restaurants. But if you want to go for a home run, try the Burrata, listed under the salad section of the menu. The Burrata is served with the house Focaccia.

Pizza at Sorento is a treat. The thin crust and the cheesy topping is memorable. I'll take the pizza Mekupelet with 4 cheeses., olives, garlic and spicy pepper.

The heart of the menu, as in Italian restaurants, is the pasta and the fish menus. Pastas are a full page of the Sorento menu. If you choose carefully you are going to get exactly what you want. First choose the type of pasta from the menu. Choose from spaghetti, ravioli, pene, gnocchi and others. Papardela, wide noodles, is my favorite. Once that is settled choose the sauce from the long list. This is not any easier, because there are so many to choose from. Try the mushroom sauce, Alfredo, Roza, Pompador and the more exotic Truffle sauce.

If you've come to Sorento for a fish main course you have made the right choice. Whole fish grilled on the fire is the signature dish at Sorento. Salmon fillet and whole Levrak prepared in the taboun oven, have a fixed price. Other fish dishes are priced by the 100 grams. There are four choices for fish, and each sounds better than the next.

It is against the law to come to a dairy Italian restaurant and not have dessert.

The service at Sorento is like no other. It starts with the charming waitress who guided us through the menu. By the time we ordered we felt that had become friends.

More About Sorento

We were impressed with the new modern design and comfortable seating at the restaurant. There is both indoor seating and patio seating. The private room on the upper floor can accommodate up to 40 guests.

Private and business events can be celebrated in Sorrento with a maximum of 120 people. Sorrento invites you to enjoy an abundance of food, excellent service and a chic and charming atmosphere.
