Vineyard:
Dalton
Wine: Muscat Dessert 1999
Type: Sweet White
A good choice for those with simpler taste in wine, this is the youngest
of the Israeli dessert wines. Nearly translucent in color, clear and
pale, this wine is very fruity and even a little fizzy on the tongue.
Unlike other sweet white wines, this Muscat does not contain any brandy
and is 11% alcohol.
This
Dalton dessert wine is not aged and the cork is of poor quality. The
wine has not been out long enough to know how it will age, but my guess
is that it should not be left too long without drinking. It might develop
a far superior taste, or it might lose it's fizz-like taste.
The
lightness of this wine, in taste and in bouquet, is what makes it most
appealing.
