Vineyard:
Baron Herzog
Wine: Lodi Zinfandel, 1999
Type: Dry
Red
This
is an excellent inexpensive red wine by Herzog of California.
The
color is full and for the price, the taste is surprisingly delicious.
I think that the Baron Herzog Zinfandel 1999 is the best buy
on the Kosher wine market in the States. In Israel, the wine
is still worth the price, but it is simply not as reasonably
priced.
This
Herzog is a full-bodied wine. Perfect for any evening dinner.
It is also the perfect starter wine for new tasters. One can
compare this dry red with others and really taste the difference.
This
wine is the lowest market level of Herzog wines, but never mind,
because when comparing quality for price, this wine is definitely
worthwhile. It is an appropriate gift wine for friends or when
you want to treat yourself.
