Claude and Simone, the folks from the charming Simone restaurant that was so popular in Jerusalem, have now opened MOISE restaurant in the same location on Derech Hevron. You'll enjoy the same lovely atmosphere, the same personal attention, but this time the menu is meat (mehadrin Yerushalayim). This quaint restaurant, for those who remember Simone - has just 4-5 tables and some outdoor seating in the garden, weather permitting. Tables are covered in cloth and the table is set, welcoming you when you arrive at the restaurant.
MOISE is a French restaurant. You will find, when you visit the restaurant that the French terms 'ambience' and 'decor' apply very nicely to this restaurant.
In the spirit of fine French restaurants, the menu is short, but each dish is expertly prepared. For the cold winter nights start your meal with one of their fine soups. Choose from Pesto, Pumpkin, Chestnut, and Mushroom soup. All are served with the delicious MOISE bread.
The main courses are a whos who of French cuisine. Try the Bourguignon Beef, a classic dish made with beef braised in red wine, or the chicken in wine sauce. The selection of fish is impressive with Salmon Provencial, Greek Salmon, Flamed grouper and Bouillabaisse. We were happy to see a good selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu as well. A selection of pies and baklava round out the meal.
We must mention the nice selection of cocktails, liquors and wines at this restaurant.
Warm up an aperitif and liquor with your meal.
While MOISE restaurant takes the place of Simone on Derech Hevron, Simone continues to cater dairy events outside the restaurant. Contact Simone at the number of the restaurant for large or small catering in the venue of your choice.
