Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Ramat Arad Series, Estate Wine 1997
Type: Dry Red
This estate wine, unfortunately, suffers from the same potential
flaws of many estate wines. The wines are pressed from a small number
of grapes. As a result, the taste of the wine can often vary from bottle
to bottle - there are no other grapes to balance the flavors. Estate
wines rely on a small selection of grapes, and as a result, their taste
often lacks depth and subtlety.
This
wine, more than many others, is a matter of personal taste. To some palates
the wine will be too strong and distinctive. Others may find the wine
unique enough to be pleasurable. I find the wine, even as it varies slightly
from bottle to bottle to be too overpowering a taste.
