Vineyard:
Dalton
Wine: Merlot, 1997
Type: Dry Red
Dalton put a lot of time and effort into this wine - and it shows. Before
it is bottled, this exceptional wine is aged in oak casks from France
for a period of fourteen months. The aging process allows for the wine
to mellow as it absorbs the wood flavors.
The
taste of this wine is as delicate as it is complex. As it sits on your
tongue you detect the subtle taste of summer fruits with a hint of vanilla.
These are tastes often reserved for far more expensive wines. For optimum
quality, uncork the bottle and allow it to breathe for at least an hour
before serving.
Attention
to detail can also be seen in the bottle itself - it hints at class.
The dark glass bottle is adorned with a deep purple label etched in gold.
This is a good gift wine. It will enhance the pleasure of those who drink
it as well as those who place it on wine shelves for others to admire.
