This is a very different chardonnay. It's not oakey and it's not strong. It is very light and very clear, with not the least tinge of yellow. Most chardonnays are heavy white wines. This is much lighter and fresher.

This wine must be served very, very chilled. The wine has a sweetness to it that is enhanced by the cold. I enjoy this wine very much. But I must admit that at my first tasting I opened two bottles to convince myself that this distinct taste really was a chardonnay.

The wine is unique in ways other than taste. As with the other Gush Etzion wines, every part of the wine making process involves religious Jews. The fact that the wine is organic means that no preservatives are used to stabilize it. This wine is highly recommended. It goes well with any meal or can stand on its own.
