Vineyard:
Herzog California
Special Edition, Alexander Valley
Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon 1994
Type: Dry Red
This is truly the best kosher wine of the decade.
It
is as smooth as silk. It is a deep, luscious red. Its bouquet is exotic.
The
wine itself is grown in the Warnecke Vineyard in the Alexander Valley.
This wine was aged for eighteen months in French barrels and bottled
without filtering. The result is a delicate and exciting wine.
As
you swirl this wine in your goblet the power of the wine surrounds your
senses and you begin to appreciate the complex flavors even before your
first sip.
The
label on this bottle is simple and stately. It is a long and narrow slice
of parchment adorned with a gold crest. The elegance of the label portends
the luscious taste inside.
If
you are fortunate enough to locate this wine, buy as many bottles as
you can. This wine is excellent now and should continue to improve for
at least six more years.
