Vineyard:
Vecchio Podere
Wine: Merlot Del Veneto, 2000
Type: Dry Red
As
with its sister wine, this is a pleasant surprise. It is light
and fragrant with a little kick after it goes down. This wine
is a blend of merlot, sangiovese and cabernet grapes in a classic
Italian style that makes for a very simple, very drinkable wine
to accompany almost any occasion.
I
found the Cabernet
to be a slightly better find, simply because it had a little
more character. But for the price this, too, is an excellent
find and a superb deal.
